Do I need HP recovery discs to recover my system?

Question by confused: Do I need HP recovery discs to recover my system?
I don’t have any problems with my system, I just want to improve it’s performance. I lost my HP recovery discs and I’m not in North America where I purchased my laptop. It’s impossible to get any service here for my Pavillion because it is North American and the HP centers here won’t help. Thanks for any help.

yes you do unless you can get your drivers online. check online for the drivers heres the link http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html
