Do I need facts for writing a fictional story?
Question by any1_4wishing: Do I need facts for writing a fictional story?
I’m writing a story based on a fictional movie, and a made-up selection of people. In the story I’m writing the characters end up in a holocaust type of situation. Do you think I need to use real holocaust facts for my story, or because everything else in the story is fictional, can my “facts” be fictional as well?

It’s up to you. If it’s based on the actual Holocaust, I would use facts. If it’s a fictional holocaust, you can really use either.
