Do I have an eating disorder?

Question by Ryuu: Do I have an eating disorder?
First off: I’m obese. My BMI is about 31. I’m 5 feet tall and around 165 lbs. I’m not someone you would expect to have an eating disorder. Obviously, I’m not anorexic. I never purge so I’m not Bulimic.

My “symptoms”:
I restrict my calorie intake to no more than 7400 per week.
I will lose like 5 lbs fast and then gain most of it back in half the time.
I enjoy feeling hungry because the number on the scale is usually lower the hungrier I am.
My goal weight is 100 lbs, which is normal for my age/height.
I oftentimes question eating… I think of it as a pointless and disgusting addiction.
I’ve recently lost about 38 lbs in 4 months.
I will go most of the day without eating.. Totaling about 200-400 calories and I consider that a “good day”
I engage in this weird “vicarious eating” where I will watch someone else eat or make a Sim (in the Sims 2) look like me and have my name and go to the fridge to eat whatever I am craving.
My mother had an eating disorder when she was younger and was diagnosed as having an “anorexic personality.”
I’ve been diagnosed as being OCD, but never have seeked treatment for an eating disorder.
I have done liquid fasts.

Any questions and I will try to answer them in additional details.
Bavid: I never mentioned my age.

It sounds like the early stages of an eating disorder.

Preoccupation with weight is never healthy, particularly since you have a family history of eating disorders.

Have you talked to a therapist about your body image and obsession with food behaviors? Please do. They can help you out.

Best of luck.
