Do all 50 states have the same laws concerning the purchase of medication with ephedrine?

Question by Jess: Do all 50 states have the same laws concerning the purchase of medication with ephedrine?
I saw a segment on our local news on how pharmacy’s throughout the state will now be linked together so law enforcement can trck who is buying cold pills and when in an effort to continue the fight against meth. In my state you gotta ask the pharmacist to purchase anything with ephedrine in it-you gotta be at least 18 and show your id, and you can only buy so much a month. I heard a girl in sdhool say that in florida you can buy it right off the shelf without I.d. and that there still is no limit on how much you can buy. Can anyone tell me if that is true and tell me what your state goes by concerning this issue.

no, each state has its own law and they are all different.

Washington State and Oregon keep it behind the counter.
