Despite troubles, Probert a hero
I grew up playing hockey in the Detroit area, and I can honestly say that Bob Probert was a hero to all who laced them up in those years. He epitomized old-time hockey and had the heart of a lion. A Red Wing for life no doubt. He helped to bring back life to a struggling franchise and demanded Detroit’s respect with heavy right haymakers. We’ll never forget him. Hockey will never be the same …
