Dark Eyes and Depression?

Question by Goobery: Dark Eyes and Depression?
So yeah, lately ive noticed myself depressed. Really depressed.

But my life aside… Why does depression cause dark eyes in the first place?

I look horrible to like I just crawled out from under a bridge. I have a meth face right now and I don’t do drugs. im just depressed :/

I’ve never actually heard any answers to this, but to throw out a wild guess, I’d say that it’s because of anxiety stressing out the muscles used to move your eyes. It could be anything though, even something personal (like if you’ve bad/lack of sleep due to your depression). Or perhaps it could be that there is no correlation between depression and dark eyes.
