Custody help! What steps should I take to gain custody of my niece?
Question by Pallin Drone: Custody help! What steps should I take to gain custody of my niece?
Here’s the setup: My 21 year old younger sister has a 2 year old daughter. My sister is a lesbian dug addict (marijuana and crack cocaine) as is her girlfriend (who, by the way, is “gender queer” she dresses and acts like a man) who lives with my sister. The girlfriend’s younger sister (who’s a 17 year old bisexual prostitute drug addict, a runaway and wanted on child abandonment since she left her newborn son with her foster parent) lives with them also as do her girlfriend (who is also a drug addict, gender queer and 4 months pregnant). They stay “high” on a severe daily basis. She doesn’t feed, bathe or do anything “motherly” with my niece. She won’t even take her to the doctor. Whenever I pick my niece up to spend a few nights with me she acts weird. Like whenever I go to change her she screams (eardrum shattering screams) and fights me. When she’s with me for a time she’ll calm down and let me change her. What do I do to prove she’s a bad mother and get custody of my niece??

Call Child Protective Services and report her. Tell them what you would like to do and they will guide you. They would rather give custody to a family member then to a foster parent. Thank you for being a caring aunt. I wish more people were like you.
