Can you explain what this quote means? What does Bree mean when she thinks this? thanx!

I haven’t read the book yet, but I am assuming it means something like.

That you have done something so terrible that the guilt is over flowing inside of you that you can’t even look at yourself because you will see what you’ve done.

I may not help at all, but that’s what I think. 🙂
