Crack Cocaine Sentencing Reform

Congressman Dan Lungren (R-Gold River-CA) addressed Congress today on the issue of changing the crack cocaine sentencing laws –which he supports – to reflect a fairer treatment of the problem. Lungren gave the following speech in front of the House of Representatives: “I think this is tough but fair. I would not support going further. I support this bill very strongly. I believe that this is what justice should be about. This is a well-crafted bill a good compromise; it serves the ends of justice and fairness. ”
