Could meth use during pregnancy cause tooth decay later for the child?

A little girl age 3 who was taken away from her mother at birth due to meth use had to have 8 root canals which means all of her 3 year old molars fixed! Dentist said her permanent teeth are affected also due to mothers meth use while pregnant. Anyone else ever heard of this?
