Chiropractor explains fertility complications, REALLY WEIRD please read!?
Question by [ k a d y ]: Chiropractor explains fertility complications, REALLY WEIRD please read!?
I just got back from the chiropractor and he had a chart of parts of the spine that connected to organs in the body via nerves and such, and he was asking about why me and my husband don’t have children yet and I explained that we’ve been trying for three years and he said my lowed back/spine problems could be the reason. Appearantly there’s a connection from your lower back and your reproductive organs, I’ve never heard of this before but he says this is a big reason why a lot of people have trouble concieving. He pressed on my stomache by my hip bones in a weird spot and it hurt and it was tender, he says this is a big implication that he was right about this being why we haven’t had a baby yet. He’s been a very successful chiropractor for 40 years and I looked him up online and he has amazing reviews by his patients. Also I’ve been to the doctor to see why we haven’t concieved yet and there are no problems they can find. Can my lower back/spine problems really be the reason why we haven’t had a baby yet? Have any of you ever heard of this? Cause I havent and am kind of skeptical of this information but optomistic that this might lead to us finally being able to have a baby.

Lots of long time successful snake oil salesmen as well. If he doesn’t work I suggest a potion made from cabbages juice and the blood of a virgin moose.
So he pressed on known nerve clusters and it hurt and he called that a diagnostic tool?

Yes, it’s entirely possible. You hit the nail on the head — “there were no problems (the doctor) could find.” People give entirely too much credence to conventional medicine. The more digging you do the more you find that it’s not all it’s been cracked up to be.
Nerve impingement, scar tissue and a variety of other issues can have an impact on fertility. Chiropractors and Osteopaths have a better handle on this because it’s their area of specialty. Conventional MD’s are mostly trained to dispense drugs. If there’s not a surgical or drug “treatment” for something they’re not the experts in that area. And you may have noticed that whatever you get in conventional medicine doesn’t come with any guarantees, and in your case, no answers either.
Edit: The Chiropractic College in Ontario Canada has a special chair in women’s studies and fertility. So do other Chiropractic Colleges. The anti-chiropractic trolls just love to post nonsense. Chiropractic treatment will also make your eventual delivery a lot easier.
