Did Chavez use “illegal” gloves in his 1990 fight against Meldrick Taylor? As we see now adays boxers are using plaster in their hand wraps and removing padding to win. Even though the result for the opponent can be near fatal…
yeah right… and of course its so late after the fact, boxers are starting to get caught now. i just dont see how a man can win for 10 straight rounds, do not so well in the last two but was standing at the last bell and still lost….

19 Years after the fact is a little bit to late to start jumping to conclusions. I for one don’t think Julio Cesar Chavez used any type of illegal padding or lack there of during his fight with Meldrick Taylor.

What Chavez used was good old fashion Mexican Boxing what I mean by that is he employed a lot of pressure,inside fighting,and boding punching. That and a pretty sweet stoppage is what beat Meldirck Taylor.
