im basically asking what happens when a person is addicted to opium.

The first half is actually a complete sentence. Instead, I’ll help you complete three sentences.

Opium is a highly addictive drug. Once a person is addicted, they’ll do almost anything to obtain it. Some have even been caught performing oral sex on complete strangers in order to get what they want.
