Can someone explain the point of those anti-drug commercials that show how meth labs toxic gas affects people?

Question by funkyyoungstuff: Can someone explain the point of those anti-drug commercials that show how meth labs toxic gas affects people?
People will put something in their bodies no matter how it is made (like KFC) and dope cookers don’t care if people get addicted to their product, destroy themselves on it or whatever so why would they care about the fumes? Some parents or others in a community might be concerned about the possible effects a lab might pose, but there is only the inciteful images to push such people to care but no meaningful information to help them if they want to take action, such as how to identify a neighbor who may be cooking meth, the sights and smells to look for, and how to report any suspicion safely and anonymously. All the commercial does is work to further villify these people which scares people to act, and makes it seem like they are hiding everywhere which only scares people to stay inside and not even get involved. How is this helping the meth epidemic? I use and this commercial doesn’t make me want to change anything but the anti drug approach.
