Can I still call myself vegan, if I use beeswax to smoke?
Question by Buck Marley *{989}*{248}*: Can I still call myself vegan, if I use beeswax to smoke?
I eat a strict vegan diet and consider myself a vegan for the most part. But I use “beeline” to smoke herb. “Beeline” is hemp string with beeswax on it. I light the beeline, then light the herb with the beeline. I do this so i’m not sucking in lighter fluid when I smoke. I’m really torn on the issue though, because this is about the only situation where using an animal product is GREATLY helping my health, rather than if I straight up used a lighter. So where do I draw the line between supporting the vegan nation and supporting my own health?? Am I a disgrace to the vegan nation by using this product to greatly benefit my health?
Here’s the website of the company that I get the beeline from-

I use herb for spiritual reasons that helps my mental health very much. I use a magnifying glass as much as I can, but when the sun isn’t available I use beeline. Please don’t try telling me I should just stop smoking. The medicinal benefits it provides me, are greater than the minor damage it’s doing to my lungs. I smoke out of straight glass and never use metal or any kind of wraps.
