Question by Shelley H: Can heavy drug use (Methamphetamine) cause Flu Like sickness later in life?
My 47 yr old brother has been a methamphetamine user for many years. ( needles) He has recently been getting very sick with throwing up & diarrhea. This occurs about every other week. He gets deathly sick for a day or so. Just wondering if this sickness is related to his drug use?

That is part of withdrawal symptoms. He runs out of money and can’t buy more drugs. When he gets money he buys drugs and the symptoms go away until he spends all his money and the cycle repeats.
