Can Extreme constipation make your legs tingly? And make you feel sleepy?
Question by Fudgebody Jackson: Can Extreme constipation make your legs tingly? And make you feel sleepy?
I quit smoking 3 months ago, and I have been struggling really bad to the point where i want to cry with constipation. Back when I smoked cigarettes, I used to wake up and have one in the morning on the front porch, by the time i finished that, i would have a bowel movement. It was systematic. Well, I quit smoking back in July. And Since I quit, My body actually feels worse then it did when smoking a pack a day. I have Major constipation, Like, really really bad. I can go a week without having a bowel movement. I know it’s gross. But Every 4 or 5 days, I drink a Big glass of Sea salt Water and It flushes me out. But then for the next day or 2 i feel bad from all the salt. On top of that, Never before did i experience tingling in my legs from the knees down, Now i have that problem frequently since i quit smoking. Also, I exercise daily, I jog 1 mile a day, and do 50 Situps before bed. When I smoked I never exercised. Also, My energy levels have plummeted. Back when I smoked, I used to pick up double shifts at work atleast twice a week for extra money, and when I would get off that double I would hang with my friends for a few hours and have fun. Now, I barely have enough energy to complete a full shift. My Coworkers ask me if ” I’m Alright” all the time at work, and say i look sleepy. Is all this because of the constipation? As I said before Im super clogged up, and i know this is gross, but my stools are super hard. Almost painful without the sea salt aid. Should I try doing a Colon Cleanse? I know it cant be from nicotine withdrawl, because I use ” The Patch” And i never have the desire to have a cig. Pls help me. I’m a 27 year old guy. So this really scares me. I’m starting to wonder if I have some heart condition, or am about to have a heartattack.
PS- When I smoked, I was also an alcoholic, I used to drink 5 nights a week. I quit drinking also, Thanks!
