Can black tar heroin look like black flakes?

Question by peanutlover: Can black tar heroin look like black flakes?
She is trying to get off drugs (heroin and meth) and is going to detox soon but for the time being we wanted to make sure she isn’t using while at the house. .but she was in the bathroom for a while with the tub running early in the morning and there was black flakes on the counter and a thing of tissue that looked like it wiped the black off of the counter. I am assuming it is heroin, but would like to giver her the benefit of the doubt before accusing. Could be mascara or something..? Does anyone know if black tar heroin can look like black flakes?

Usually no, black tar heroin resembles a sticky or hardened black tar. It doesn’t normally look like flakes. One way you can tell though is by smelling it, if it smells like strong vinegar it is most likely heroin, for that is the smell of good heroin, and most black tar heroin reeks like vinegar.
