Question by LetMeBe: Can an advanced stage alcoholics stop drinking without physically dying?
I understand certain addictions (drug related) have to be physically monitored by a doctor or they might die, so is it that way w/ alcohol too?
I’m not talking about how addicts/alcoholics have to go to rehab and get help, I already know that. I’m talking about if someone quits alcohol cold turkey, can they die?

not really. they may feel sick and have a change in behavior but with enough support, love and help they can do it. i have a family member who did, and it has been over a year now. he is so much better now.
