Question by Kim: Can a person go into a coma from taking oxycodone and using meth at the same time?
If a person is taken pain killers and using methamphetamines at the same time,what might happen. This person has a sleep problem. They ca not hear their alarm in the mornings and can sleep through just about anything. Is this related and could they possible go into a coma>

What your talking about in a variation of a speed ball and is very unsafe (think Chris Farley or John Belushi), it is very possible to slip into a coma just depending on the doses of each involved and when you took them. Part of the danger comes from someone being all jacked up, taking more sedatives/painkillers than they would be able to handle normally, and once the stimulant wears off or is overpowered by the depressants they OD and fall into a coma or worse end up dead.
