BoJ chief warns of delayed recovery
TOKYO – A SLOWDOWN in the global economy may set back Japan’s recovery and spell continued deflation, the country’s central bank chief warned on Friday. ‘It is a growing possibility that the Japanese economy’s return to a sustainable path with price stability will be delayed,’ Bank of Japan (BoJ) governor Masaaki Shirakawa said.
