I have been on some type of birth control for about 5 years now. about 11 months ago I went on the depo from the pill. When I was on the pill there were no side effects besides loosing my sex drive(And I forget to take it alot). When a got my secound shoot I started getting acne more and in place’s I have never got it before, and I gained about 10 pounds (All in my tummy). They say it could take up to a year to get my peroid, It’s already been 6 months since I stoped B/C all together, and I still don’t have my period and I am still chunky in my tummy. What can I do to speed up the process?? Will the weight come off on it’s own or will this become a life long battle with my weight(When I never had a problem before)?? Please help I am really depressed about the whole thing.

I had the same problem with the shots took me well over a year to get my period or lose that extra weight. Ask your doc if their is anything that you can do to help. Diet if you feel you have too but still eat a well balanced diet. You don’t give how much you weigh though. Good Luck
