Okay the question is..
You are studying the biopsy of the liver of an alcoholic. What cellular organelle might you expect to see in larger than normal quanitities? Explain why?
I don’t know why I just can’t find it for the life of me! So please help. any information will help!

alcohol oxidase is located in the liver in peroxisomes. The reaction it catalyzes produces hydrogen peroxide which is metabolized in the peroxisome, hence the name peroxisome.
if you go to the reference, note that hepatocytes are liver cells.
