Be Industrious and Help Others – To Help Yourself Stay Off Cocaine
When you are helping others accomplish the things they desire in life, you are on top of things and feel like you have control yourself. Being industrious and staying busy is one of the keys to staying off cocaine. By helping others it helps you stay focused on things that are real and not on the past. With the brain active, it is less apt to think desire and craving.
As you come off cocaine it is the opportune time to take up something which you have always wanted to do, but had never gotten around to doing. It is the prime time to take that new hobby, sport or even occupation and dive into it. By helping others along the same line, you will gain knowledge and experience in that new avenue along with staying busy to minimize the cocaine desires.
Dive into whatever you choose and focus on excelling in it. It is important to focus on goals and things which are real, and not idle time wasters which do not motivate the brain. Choose something that is real and will actually progress your life at the same time. Spending time in idleness will give your brain time to think about desire and you have a good chance of falling back into the same rut of addiction.
By helping others with their goals will boost your focus and morale. A high state of morale is the key to beating a cocaine addiction. A high state of morale comes from feeling good about what you are doing. When you feel good about what you are doing, you can feel good about yourself! And it has probably been some time since you have felt good about yourself.
In any locale there always ways to help others which will keep you busy and also be a help to others. If nothing else comes to mind find a senior citizen who needs something done. Leaves to rake, grass to mow or a house to paint. As you wake up from addiction, you will be amazed at the things you will see from a new perspective and find that needs to be done.
Is is important that you stay away from helping in your old habit areas and in the addiction area. Many have fallen into relapse by trying to help others get off of addictions before they are fully recovered and have the strength to keep from falling back into it, just by being to close to the action. Now is the time to focus in a new direction and away from the old.
New vision with new activities, by helping others, can be the key to help yourself stay off cocaine.
