Are you good with density, mass, and volume?
Question by makethisnightlastforever: Are you good with density, mass, and volume?
I usually hate to ask people to “help” me with my homework but I have so much other crap cause I just had to be in an honors class and I was also absent cause I got the common cold…. Can someone please answer these questions and show work? THANX IN ADVANCE!!! 🙂 🙂
1) A block of lead has the dimensions 4.5 cm by 5.2 cm by 6.0 cm. The block weights 1.587 kg. Calculate the density of lead in g/cm3
2) A sample of iron shot with a mass of 28.3 is added to a graduated cylinder containing 45.5 mL of water. The water rises to the 49.1 mL. Find the density in g/cm3.
3) Ethyl alcohol is added to a beaker with mass 204.88g until the beaker and alcohol together weighs 253.2 g. What volume, in cL, was added to the beaker? The density of ethyl is 0.789 g/mL.
4) A student determines that the mass of a metal rod is 12 g. He places 10 mL of water in a graduated cylinder. When the metal rod is placed in the water, the cylinder read 15mL. Find density.
