Andrew Loog Oldham, Former Manager of the Rolling Stones Flies in to Open New Narconon Drug Rehab Centre in Hastings, East Sussex

Andrew Loog Oldham former Rolling Stones manager speaking at the Grand Opening of a new Narconon centre in Hastings told an audience of 300 local residents, Narconon students, parents and friends how he had recovered from the effect of drugs using part of the programme that is used by Narconon.

He said, “I had a rollercoaster of a ride with the Rolling Stones for five years and then spent thirty years getting over it.

“It wasn’t until 1995 that my real recovery started. I was about 3 weeks away from dying when I met some very special people helped me get well enough to do the L Ron Hubbard detoxification programme, part of the method used by Narconon.

“The programme was an amazing experience for me personally.” It was a glorious 7 weeks as the acid came out first, followed by the coke, morphine derivatives, inoculation poisons as well as the suntans and all of the drugs of life.

“I finished the master of my own destiny standing in the sunshine and that’s how it’s been since.”

The Mayor of Bexhill, Councillor Stuart Earl welcomed Narcocon to the community on behalf of the Mayor of Hastings. .

“Thank you for what you are doing. Thank you for giving hope, giving life to a generation that without your help would never enjoy all the nice things we have come to take for granted.

“So I wish you great success with your work, I feel extremely humble and very emotional when I have seen the successes that have been displayed here today.

Geoffrey Davies said, “The charity I represent, the National Drug Prevention Alliance, has followed – and morally supported – the journey to today’s Narconon Hastings opening with interest and admiration.”

Daniel Galvin Jnr, hair colourist to the stars said, “Through drugs I had lost everything – the people I loved, my integrity, my work group, everything! Since doing the Narconon programme with the sauna and courses under my belt, it has allowed me to earn back my integrity, make up the damage to the people I had hurt and really achieve my optimum business and social objectives.”

The new Narconon centre is one of over a hundred Narconon centres throughout the world. Up to 40 former addicts will be housed at the centre as part of a 3-5 month residential rehabilitation programme The staff of 20 use a method designed by L Ron Hubbard to eliminate drug dependency by means of a regime of drills, study programmes, nutrition, exercise and sauna sessions to rid the body of residual drugs.

Former ace drummer with David Bowie, Woody Woodmansey, a director of Narconon said, ”Drugs destroy peoples’ lives and dreams, and the lives and dreams of their families. Our purpose is to help give people back their lives.”
