All Doctors/GP/Nurses “PLEASE HELP” – Stomache Rash?

Question by katnip217: All Doctors/GP/Nurses “PLEASE HELP” – Stomache Rash?
Here’s what I’ve been going through:

Last 1-2 week I’ve been extremely sick, flu and coughs. I’ve been taking medicine for around 1 week then stopped.

It’s been a week now after my sickness, I’ve gotten better just abit of cough here and there not so much and runny nose here and there and I stopped taking medicine since it’s getting better, but I’m abit better than last week, but I found a rash on my stomache and it hasn’t gone away it’s been on my stomache for around 8 days now… it’s not itchy, it’s looks brownish blackish for some reason. Anyone know what caused this? Will I die? I’m scared. Sometimes I have diahrea and grumbling stomache dunno if it has to do with the rash or not.

I’m really worried and scared. I’m really scared to tell anyone. 🙁 So help me. I am fearing for my life. 🙁

You just had a viral infection, and probably still do. Many viruses cause rashes, and although a viral infection usually is gone within two weeks or so, some of them can hang in for a month or so. Your photo isn’t that clear, but given the medical history this would be my guess as to the origins of your rash. Had it been due to the medication, it would have been more likely to happen all over and itch, due to the allergen reaction of the body. Since it doesn’t itch, that’s not a likely cause. You may have diarrhea and a rumbling stomach because your illness has upset the bacterial flora of your intestines. That’s easy enough to take care of as well. Simply stop eating all dairy products. You will need to have a clear liquid diet for 24 hours, if you can’t see light shine through it, don’t drink it – although alcohol is not a clear liquid for this purpose. The next 24 hours you eat bananas, white rice, white bread/toast/crackers, and apples or applesauce. That should stop the diarrhea and give your innards a break. The third day you can have bland foods, fat free broth based soups, lean grilled meats, that sort of thing. Day four you want to eat a carton or two of live culture yogurt, any flavor you like, but with live bacterial cultures and real sugar for sweetening. Eat a carton or two a day for a couple days, at least two, and then you can get back to the dairy products because you will then have the needed bacteria for the digestion. If your rash doesn’t shift along or fade by the time the runny nose is gone, then you need to see the doctor. In the meantime, rest is most of what you need. The immune system is capable of fighting off a virus, but it takes a lot of energy to do it. Burn the candle at both ends, it can take some time. Rest and eat right, it shifts along faster. If your mom is still handy, you might have her take a look. I doubt you are dying, so no need to fear for your life. Rashes are just one little irritant, and most go away without any need for the doctor.
