Question by Corona: Advice please on helping someone to stop shooting cocaine?
My niece is shooting cocaine bad and her husband is co-dependent and he don’t want to let her leave to go get help. She is having a hard time leaving because of her addiction and then to have him begging her not to leave him makes it even harder for her. I know the help she gets has to be her choice and us not forcing her, but what else can we do? We have a drug treatment place ready for her to go to. She missed the appointment yesterday and I did talk her into making another one for today but I fear she will not take it. How can you help someone that doesn’t really want help? Please, if you have been through something like this, or have knowledge in this area, please help us. She looks as if her body is dying.
