There are proven studies of thousands of addicts regarding cellular adaptation with respect to addiction. The bottom line is if your addicted to one thing your cells will adapt so if you switch one vice for another your bodies cells will adapt to the new drug, whatever it happens to be that your using. The metaphor is once you’ve turned a cucumber into a pickle there is no way to switch back. Once you’re a pickle you are a pickle.
