ABDN RUN

The idea of the film was to increase the awareness of the heroin + crack cocaine scene to councillors and general public in Aberdeen City during Oct 07 to Apr 08. This short film was made for my final honours project at university. I wanted to focus on a project that would deliver in social and local context, and after research I felt it was an issue that should be identified in a more engaging way. The research and information I compiled for this film was mostly gathered from my interviews and from local newspapers. The film brings visuals of Aberdeen City, along with atmospheric music and the resonating quotations from the various people I interviewed. These were local councillors, police officers, street beggars and heroin users and crack cocaine users. The quotations on the film are from my original interviewee recordings. The disjointed drug scenes were recreated with the help of my friends. I also shot the all the video, produced it, and created the music. more info available on www.craigscottdesign.com —— Im not branding any of these areas in my film as drug hotspots their just simply visuals of recognisable locations in Aberdeen City that I have captured and used to suggest movement + time, and also to confirm the location is Aberdeen City. —– © Craig Scott
