A questions about the drug laws in Michgan…involving marijuana?
Question by MysteryGirl: A questions about the drug laws in Michgan…involving marijuana?
Ok…I will give you the scenario, but first, here is a little background info —-> This is a relative of mt husbands and I have known them for years and both of them have had drug problems. The man has done marijuana since he was like 12, and even delt it out for many years. To my knowledge he is no longer a dealer. His wife was super addicted to vicodin, but went to a rehab facility and got clean. She recently got back into it..but not as hard as before (however im sure it will escalate to that level or higher in the near future).
THE PROBLEM IS (not that the ENTIRE thing isn’t a problem, but this is the worst part) that this couple has 4 kids, all under the age of 8 years. Last time we went to thier house about the man was in his bedroom and had more marijuana than i have ever seen in my life. it was everwhere. There was like 3 or 4 bags that looked about like an ounce bag, and then there were like 4 or 5 huge bags with the air sucked out of them that looked like it could be many ounces. There was probably a few pounds there (I dont do drugs so i know the terminology for all that stuff…but this is what i saw). I couldn’t imagine that this would ALL be for personal use.
MY QUESTION IS…how much trouble could he get in for this? could he go to jail? (this is in MICHIGAN by the way) Could they get thier children taken from them? This is such a stupid thing to do anyways…but when you have childrdren and are risking everything for it is just fucking rediculous.
Do you guys think i should tip off the police or child services? what would happen? I don’t want to destroy the family…but i feel like it is absolutey neccesary that someone intervenes…this is so wrong. Thanks a ton for any input
