Question by sadiegirl: A new shot for alcohol/drug addiction?
Has anyone heard of this treatment? I was told there is a shot, or IV injection that is for this type of addicition. I heard you get a series of 3 injections, and that it supposedly helps you for “life” if you suffer from alcoholism or drug addiction. Supposedly it’s being done in Palm Springs, Ca. It was recently approved by the FDA, but I cant find anything out about it online.

Anyway, my hubby drinks way too much and I thought maybe this would benefit him 🙂 Only if it’s safe, but I guess the effects of drinking aren’t very safe on your body now, are they?

I haven’t specfically hard of an injection. But I know there is a couple medications called Campral and Antabus . Anyways, the Campral reduces the without symptoms of alcohol and antabus just makes you god awful sick when you take and drink.
