A panel of federal officials testified about the production, distribution and use of methamphetamine and law enforcement efforts to curb its illegal trade. Then a panel of Kansas and Indiana law enforcement officials described the dangers and local costs of dismantling meth labs and jailing perpetrators in rural areas.
