Isnt it called homework help?

Question by Do It My Way: Isnt it called homework help?
While I’ve been surfing around here recently, I’ve noticed that when a kid asks for help some answerer’s feel the need to tell them that they should figure it out for themselves or learn better time management or some such bunk. I mean the topic here is “Homework Help”, right?

Forgive me if I’m wrong, but, I thought the whole Internet thing was supposed to be a way for everyone to seek info and exchange ideas.
If you feel the need to blast someone, why not go to “Politics and Government” or “Religion and Spirituality” there are tons of nut cases there who you can verbally abuse.

This could be a great resource for students, but they won’t use it if they always get flack. If you don’t know the answer, can’t you just leave the kid alone?

Yeah, I agree with you. Internet is a source of information where kids can research info which will help them with their homework. But some of them ask for solutions in problems without thinking on their own. I mean, it’s right to search for websites and information for a project, but not ready solutions of math problems. And don’t forget that those who tell the students to figure it out themselves might just wanna earn easily some points by answering.
