Graphing Calculator Question?

Question by Cash–Rescue, Foster, Adopt!: Graphing Calculator Question?
I’m looking for an inexpensive graphing calculator. So far I have found two…basically the only difference is that the more expensive one has USB connectivity.
Is this necessary to have?
I will be using the calculator for my freshman year of college…taking a “fundamentals of statistics” class.
Any info would be MUCH appreciated.

Graphing calculators are not needed, they are helpful, but you can easily get by with a scientific. If the teacher is adamant that you get one, borrow one from someone, and tell the teacher in advance that you don’t have one and could s/he provide one, they tend to have quite a few in the department.

I didn’t even use calculators for my stats classes, the math works out by itself, and the few times it doesn’t a scientific calculator does the job.
