I’ve had this nasty cough and nothing seems to help. Last night I decided to have a glass of red wine and my cough went away for a couple hours and I slept like a baby. Can alchol help a cough? Or is it in my imangination?

Yes, it does help. A shot of Brandy is usually recommend for cough and cold. If brandy is not available then a shot of any alcohol will do. Have it neat without mixing it with anything.
