why are my parents so stupid?

seriously. can someone help me in what to say to them because they are driving me nuts. i am in a commuting college and two of my classes are on-lines classes. that means the hours that i should spend going to a class and studying i spend on-line reading, researching, typing papers etc. it is ALL on-line! whenever i am doing this i am usually in my room. usually from 3-7pm i spend working and then for the rest of the night i am doing whatever i want, go out or watch tv, just fool around on-line looking at stuff or chatting.

the problem here is, my parents are a bit slow, ignorant, intolerant when it comes to understanding people’s different lifestyles. my mom in particular, i have told her numerous times that i take classes on-line and that i HAVE to be on-line that long. and she goes “yes ok” and then a few hours later is talking loudly to my father going “she’s addicted to the internet, that girl needs help” and i’m like WTF??? i have a small laptop and use it while in bed in my room and she constantly passes by me and goes “you still alive??” or “doesnt your butt hurt???” or my favorite “so this is your life, this is what you want to do with your life???” today i am tryping up something that is due in 3 days and am trying to concentrate, typing while reading my textbook and she starts off again. first she is bad mouthing my sister because she goes out too much and then goes “well atleast shes not ann” my father is like “leave her alone, your upset and shes happy with the way her life is” and she says “but whens she going to change????”

it’s enough for me to jump off a cliff, can anyone give me some advice please?
she thinks i am on-line fixing my myspace all day or talking to strangers some stupid sh*t like that, she never believes me when i tell her im working! she’s even threatening to cut off the internet to “save me”!
