Why do white middle class feminist women typically hire low income, minority and immigrant women to iron their shirts, cook their meals, wash their dishes and clothes, clean their homes and take care of their children?

My sister was a nanny. The stories she told about how female bosses treated her and other women she knew made my blood boil.

Paying minimum wage (or less sometimes!), treating the women as mere servants or “the help,” emotional and physical abuse, withholding pay and refusing to pay back wages, confiscating passports, threatening to turn the women over to immigration, etc.

In other words, exploitation of women. Any thoughts?

Apaert from the examples I provided you mean? Did you miss the paragraph where I described what my sister (the nanny) told me about?

You try to say this is nothing to do with fminists because all upper middle class people behave this way. So you admit that feminists do this stuff and sre OK with it. My question was, in view of the fact that feminists are regularly campaigning against the exploitation of women, why are they exploiting women themselves?

Just because others also do it doesn’t justify it!! What’s that about? If I got caught with slaves in my basement, it would not be a defense to say all my neighbors also have slaves!!
