Looking for help for a stray pregnant cat living in Boston area?
Question by phoenix: Looking for help for a stray pregnant cat living in Boston area?
I live in Boston suburbs and I have been feeding a stray cat for a while. I think she’s pregnant now I’d like to take her to a NO-KILL shelter in Massachusetts, for her to have her kittens in a safe place. I talked to Alliance for animals, and Gifford shelter but their managers said the cat’s pregnancy would be terminated if I took her there. I think this is a terrible procedure, and to subject a poor cat to such cruelty is not “help”, it’s abuse. I have no problems with sterilizing an animal, but NOT in this condition: it could endanger the cat’s life.
Does anybody know about a place, a shelter where this cat could stay while she has the kittens, nurses them ?
Thanks for reading and help

Its not mean or cruel at all, its called an emergency spay and its done everyday at shelters and vet’s offices.
its actually best for her and the unborn kittens. There is WAY too many unwanted kittens as it is filling up our shelters.
Its actually selfish of you to not take her and get the emergency spay done. A kitty/dog abortion is not the same thing as if it were a person.
