I have been dating this guy off and on for five years.. He’s not the love of my life, but I care about him very much. He’s smart, funny, etc.. but he just has one problem- Heroin. He has done every drug in the book- and it doesn’t make sense because he could have anything he wanted in life. He would always lie to me about his addiction until recently, when he finally became clean and told me everything a few days ago. He is detoxing off of heroin, and taking the pills he’s supposed to. But I just don’t know what to do. Now I’m just worried sick about him, I haven’t seen him in two days, and that is the last time we talked. He told me that he wants me to be apart of his recovery, but he hasn’t called me or returned my phone calls. He has a great support system, so I know he’s not using, but I just don’t know as to if I should try to get ahold of him, or to leave him alone.
