I’m a former drug user who kicked the habit (with much difficulty), and I feel like my highs and lows are more muted than they once were. By that I mean that I feel like my natural highs aren’t as high and my lows aren’t as low as they once were before I used drugs. I don’t seem to feel emotions with the physical intensity I once did. Have I just been hardened by life, or could this be chemical?
