Is it true that Heroin has no long-term negative effects?

Question by Explosive Joseph: Is it true that Heroin has no long-term negative effects?
I’ve heard that heroin doesn’t have any long term effects, that is as long as you don’t OD it won’t do you any harm (besides getting addicted, but as long as you know what you’re doing the addiction won’t have any physical downsides). I know that heroin is a kind of super morphine (it has a flashy scientific name I can’t remember) and from what I know regular morphine doesn’t have any negative effects besides possible OD and addiction, is heroin the same?
I’m not thinking of trying it or anything, just wondered if this is true.
Oi i’m not using it haha my dad was talking about eric clapton who was a mad heroin addict for years and you’d think “well how come he can still play guitar like a legend?” and he said cos heroin has no long term effects. Shouldn’t judge people it’s not polite.

This is true, other than addiction itself there are no long term affects. Heroin is an opiate, so it has similar effects of morphine, cocaine, codine, and opium. But that is one terrible withdrawal that addicts go through when they quit. You can actually die just from withdrawal on many types of drugs. Hope this helps.
