Does anyone know of any short or long term affects that can occur from using Adderall long term?
Question by I Love ?’s: Does anyone know of any short or long term affects that can occur from using Adderall long term?
I’m 27yrs old & I’ve been using Adderall daily for 3-4yrs now taking anywhere from 40-60mgs a day (kinda high I know). I want to know if you, someone you know, or credible stories you’ve heard that can help me find out if there are any short or long term side affects, repercussions, or dangers I should be aware of? The Doctors keep telling me they dont know of any side affects that have been proven to occur due to long term use of Adderall besides the obvious dependence or addiction possibilities. I’m not sold on their answers or what I’ve found online cause the Doctors either base their answers on statistics or lab results & until either of those prove any side affects they aren’t going to shine any bad light on the products & drugs that keep them, their practices, or their hospitals employed & in business. And since Adderall is kind of a new drug on the market this limits the lab answers & surveys until further down the road when the youth of today on the drug become grown adults. So I’m looking for all related answers and info on the topic from the people that use them or know people who do. Thanks for the help and/or direction on this matter.

I use to break the capsules and laced myself up with 150mg-200mg almost daily, whether it be for testing, extra boost of energy for my sport… (In no way is this bragging, it’s pity for myself)
I stopped doing it because my fingers would involuntarily lock up into a very weird distorted position that I could not stop for the life of me, I would get insanely angry because it caused my testosterone level to sky rocket, and very odd heart palputations. This freaked me out enough to stop, it’s a waste of time, and it’s overall just terrible for you… I’d suggest stop, I’ve experienced very odd, and dangerous side effects (luckily no long terms).
