A lot. Emotional, mental, biological, and their race. Apparently, race also plays the part.
I’d say that a person becomes more addicted to anything, and especially with legal substance, is the perspective that the person is not addicted to something.
I would say that most alcoholics are that way because using the substance was normal, or felt normal, to them.
