How do I tell my roommate’s parents that she needs counseling?
Question by Mouth_of_da_South: How do I tell my roommate’s parents that she needs counseling?
They are very religious, and she has them convinced that she goes to church every sunday and reads her bible every night etc. They have no clue about her drug use when she was in high school, and definitely no clue about what’s currently going on with her. They don’t know she’s failed all her classes last fall and is currently failing everything this spring. I’m afraid if I call and talk to them, they wont believe me because of the lie this girl have them believeing. She needs counseling, she doesn’t go to class, is failing, doesn’t hang out with friends, doesn’t participate in ANYTHING on campus. She sleeps till at least noon every day. I think she’s depressed. Why else would she never leave her room and sleep all the time?

Send them an anonymous letter, they are then bound to ask her about it, and its clear to spark suspicion. Otherwise you coul contact a counselor on campus – every university has one – go to the student services office about it.
