Next question, why is the argument “Evolution is a theory, not fact” still used today?
Question by Pickles_FTW: Next question, why is the argument “Evolution is a theory, not fact” still used today?
The mirriam-webster dictionary defines the word theory as follows: ” the analysis of a set of facts in their relation to one another.” To say that evolution is a theory, not a fact, isn’t really saying much. There are many facts and evidence that lead to the conclusion of the evolutionary theory and, unfortunately, it will probably never be made a scientific law only because there is no way for anyone to go back and see for sure how it all worked out. Besides, the same could easily be said about the creation theory, but most people who actually understand the evolutionary theory know the meaning of words and therefore do not make themselves look ignorant in this manner.
