Question by Tim Tam: Why are there so many long-term homeless people in Australia?
Don’t they get Centrelink money? I heard even the homeless get centrelink money- this must amount to about $ 400 a week, since they are ‘independent’. I was thinking of handing a bum a pamphlet for Centrelink, instead of money lol.

Combined with an information pamphlet for services like alcohol, drug and addiction rehabs, wouldn’t this be much more helpful than giving them money (which may only fulfill their daily drug intake or something?)
