How come some kids cartoons can use “kill” but some can’t?

Question by ♥ I Stink At User Names: How come some kids cartoons can use “kill” but some can’t?
I was watching the backyardigans,a Y rated show, and they said the word “kill” in one of their songs.

However,a majority of non serious, even some serious, childrens cartoons follow the “can’t say kill” rule. They use stuff like destroy.

It really depends on the creators, If they feel that the word “kill” is suitable for the young audiences then they won’t hesitate to include it in the series, If the creators view words like “kill” as to violent for kids then they will try to censor the word if it can be used in the context of what the character is trying to say.

The decision of wether to use words like that in the series lies solely on the moral beliefs of the creators.
