Question by kathy p: Why in the State of Florida can’t I find help for 2 young adults who want help from OXY addiction?
I have 2 people that actually came to me and asked for help. It was only a matter of time. I made so many phone calls yesterday, and within a 2 hour drive there is not one available bed in any Detox Center for about 6-8 weeks. crazy!

They can go to a hospital and detox. The psychiatrist that treats them can give a formal diagnosis and assess them for any other disorders, like depression, and begin medication therapy.

From there they will receive a treatment plan including intensive outpatient treatment.

Then they can attend the local Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings day or night until a bed opens up.

If they want to get clean they will; and if they don’t, they won’t.
