How to change Windows XP home edition to Media Center edition?

Question by Leonid: How to change Windows XP home edition to Media Center edition?
I’ve got a E-machines computer. Recently hard drive went down. Recovery partition was damaged as well. There is no CD that comes with computer. So I installed Win XP home from another system just to make it running.
My question is the following: how do you change system’s id so it will think that it is media center, not home. I’ve got serial only for Media center.
Note: XP home disk does not ask for serial number during the installation.

You have to do a clean install.
